In any case, what exactly is the facination with what people choose to do in the privacy of their own bedroom... get over it i say. i'm gunna do my own new topic!

In any case, what exactly is the facination with what people choose to do in the privacy of their own bedroom... get over it i say. i'm gunna do my own new topic! When DHP came out and said he was gay he was no more inviting people to discuss his sex life than a straight man would be if he announced he was getting married. No one on this thread has said a word about what he does in the bedroom, nor will we - ever - do such a thing. But it's as legitimate to reference D's sexuality as it is any other aspect of his life. If this thread was about his dogs, or his taste in music would you be feeling so bothered and anxious? Relax - DHP is gay, and happy about it. Maybe you could be happy for him too.

I had no reaction, I already knew. Long before he came out and I was fine with it. Gay or Straight, he's a talented man. I hate that we're judged based on sexual preferences. It's stupid. and, pardon my language... but it fucking pisses me off.
I think people should get over themselves. We're not all alike, we don't all dance to the beat of the same drum.
Every Person: regardless of race, religion or sexual preferences has a right to be heard and given the chance to tell their side of the story. No matter what the case.
I can't stand people who think it's their right to put others down just because it makes them feel better.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I get that. I don't expect everyone to think like I do. I just wish people would be more tolerable of one another. Maybe someday.
oh and FYI (to those of you that think being gay is a sin and all us gay people are going to hell?)
IF YOU'RE GOING TO QUOTE ONE "SIN" FROM THE BIBLE? QUOTE THEM ALL.
for example: it's a sin to work on a sunday. so sorry, I guess that means half the worlds population is going to hell.
I am gay. I am christian. I am content with both aspects of my life and I don't think God hates me because of my lifestyle choice.
okay, that's the end of my rant. and I wasn't ranting at anyone here at the forum. it was just... a general "I'm so tired of this shit and people should shut the fuck up about it already" sort of a rant.
*coughs and goes away now*

Go Stephy!!! Well said!
Only one thing, I wouldn't call being gay a lifestyle choice. Apart from that I agree and wholeheartedly back everything you said. Good luck being you.
And everything you said too Jules.
When I hear that people like Ken Starr wish to annul all the same sex marriages from last year in California, it makes me so sad, and angry.

I just found out now. I had to Google it to see if it's true or now. Since you can't believe everything you hear or read. If he's happy, then that's fine by me. I've always like DHP, always had dreams about him, lol.

Isn't it crazy that people have to hide things like this? It baffles me that some people can be so closed-minded. I hope we're moving towards becoming a society that accepts people for who they are. Well can you blame them from hiding it? I can't. People who aren't gay are afraid of gay people because they like the same gender. I say who cares. If that person prefers the same gender, let them. It's amazing how society wants us to become.

It's understandable he stayed in the closet during the run of Frasier. I imagine he was under pressure from the TV network not to make his sexuality public, and no one can blame him for going along with that. If he'd come out he might well have been cut from the show or something, mightn't he? Dan Butler came out while the show was running, and look what happened to his character.
But Frasier finished in 2004. I've always wondered why he waited another three years after that to come out. I mean no one was gonna judge him for being gay on Broadway!

That's why people are afraid to come out. Hollywood, i think, is strict about this. Take Rupert Everertt, he told Hollywood about being gay and he's regretting telling them. He feels that he is getting less parts because of it.

People shouldn't do such things like that. Less parts in a movie, because I am gay? Not the answer! It's love, no matter what people say, it's who you love and nobody can control that! Like for example, their was this movie on Lifetime, "Prayers for Bobby" I believe is what it was called. His mom wouldn't except him for being gay, so he killed himself.. People need to seriously lay off. If you don't like gay people, than leave them be! We have our own rights of freedom, and what we choose makes us happy, so be it!!!~ <33 Modified by Jules to change the pink font (sorry Chy, but it was ]sooo hard to read!

It didn't bother me, his sexuality is not an issue. I have many gay friends myself and I was brought up in a devout Christian household and told that it was a sin, I would just like to point out at this piont that I never shared those views it was just what I was told as a child by my mother.
