Really like this from the latest interview posted on DHP.org"We've[he and BH] been together 24 years. We met as young actors going to auditions, and went through regional theatre together. So to come back to New York and be on Broadway is what we started out intending to do, so that's why it was important to me to dedicate it to him." Nice, and slightly stumbly, as if he's not that used to talking about such things in public yet. Bless...

So sweet. Returning to NY does seem to have brought out his sentimental side. I wonder if that influenced his decision at all to be more open.

New York does seem to hold special memories for him and has a special place in his heart. It's wonderful that they've been together twenty five years now. That is something to shout about. I'm so happy for him that he can talk about Brian at last. What he said is so sweet!

Being D he'd be very unlikely to ever talk very frankly about all of that anyhow.

Wouldn't we just love to know! Sadly I don't think we'll ever really find out. I'm always fascinated by relationships (or should I say nosy ). Long term relationships always have their ups and downs, and depend on the personalities involved. I have no way of really knowing of course, but I always feel that David seems a very happy, content person. I'm sure part of that comes from the security of a happy home life and a supportive partner. I wonder how they work round being a two career couple? Brian was certainly cheering David on at the Tony's and looks a lovely person.

I wonder how they work round being a two career couple? This reminds me that we may very well have Brian to thank for David being on Frasier. DHP's said a few times that they moved to LA because Brian wanted to write for tv. I'm not sure he would have agreed to do television otherwise. He's obviously quite content with theatre. He does, doesn't he? The impression I gleaned from the Titus commentaries was that he's funny (very sarcastic!), intelligent, and somewhat introverted. Hmm...sound familiar?

Very, very good point about David's reason for moving to LA to do television. Looks like it's all thanks to Brian that we got to see David! And yes he does sound a bit familiar - just the kind of personality I love. ;D
