Just looking at everything that's been said about BH on this thread. Charismatic, charming, intelligent, funny, sexy voice - and of course he's also the luckiest guy on the planet. I can just hear David protesting that he's the luckiest guy on the planet.

Thanks for posting those Jules and Tigzy. I love the one w/ kristin, David, and Brian. It was hilarious and Brian is quite funny himself. I love the part about the extra padding and Brian says me too. rofl

And of course I have to say in case my husband is looking at this I am of course the equal luckiest person on the planet. Awww!! ;D. Ahem, sorry! I'll go back to be being dry and ironic now!

Sarah found a great review he got in The Glass Menagerie - something about being "beyond ordinarily charming" I found it. If anyone's curious, here it is from the N.Y. Times in 1988: Brian Hargrove as Jim, the gentleman caller, is really quite more than the ''nice, ordinary young man'' Mr. Williams wrote of in his description of the characters, and easily ''the emissary from a world of reality we were set apart from,'' as Tom describes him. The scene between Laura and Jim is touching; she is transfixed and he is beyond ordinarily charming. Yes, that is a great review. And with his voice, Tennesee Williams is a perfect fit. .Wow, that's a great review. What a lovely phrase, 'beyond ordinarily charming'.

Oh for a time machine to go back and see some of these shows! Another one would be B/D in Midsummer Night's Dream! BH got another quite sweet review in that I think.

I also like the description of the character being an "emissary from a world of reality we were set apart from." If you ever find that time machine, let me know! Failing that, we should hope that BH takes up acting again at some point. From the BroadwayWorld website, it looks like he still does benefits and things like that, so maybe he will be in another show one day.

If we find a time machine let's book a Show Person charter flight and take in every play DHP has done since Yale! Now that would be some wonderful journey....*sigh*... Ooh, I didn't know B still did any acting at all! What's he done recently?

Heck, I'd even like to drop into Bloomingdale's and watch him (try to) sell ties. He participated in a Festival of New Musicals a few years ago. It looks like it was a reading, but it still counts as being onstage!

Can I join the time machine trip too? *joins in the sighing* As I've said before, I'd give anything for a trip back to see D and BH in A Midsummer Night's Dream.I've found some Titus clips on YouTube and have really enjoyed them. Maybe I should look into this show.

Can I join the time machine trip too? *joins in the sighing* As I've said before, I'd give anything for a trip back to see D and BH in A Midsummer Night's Dream. We'd all fill the theatre and cheer like mad. How much fun would that be? I do like the idea discussed earlier of writing to the Guthrie Theatre and asking for photos. I don't live anywhere near it, but I'd be happy to send mail if we all put something together. That would save overseas postage. I'll admit that I was surprised how much I liked it. I rented it out of sheer curiosity and became a fan almost immediately. If you liked what you saw already, you probably will enjoy the rest. It was pretty consistent throughout its three seasons. What did you see, by the way? I can't believe some of the things Christopher Titus has experienced in his life. It's remarkable what he's made out of it--his stand up routine is worth looking into, too. I have the cds of his "Fifth Annual End of the World Tour" in 2006 and laughed as hard as I did at the show.
