Who's seen David in 'The Sentence'? It's one of my favourite performances of his. God, the moment in the box! It's so raw and painful you almost feel embarrassed watching it, like you're an intruder.

Sorry, I've not seen this but I would just love to. Does anyone know where I could get hold of it? From what I've heard it's something I would really like to discuss.

My bro found a version on Bit Torrent, but it takes an age to download as you get the whole series. I have a version Eimear (Lemur) sent me eons ago, but only the middle of the three parts works. I tried sending it to Woggle a while ago, and it failed dismally. Eaaaaames....do you still have the original??? Muffin and Woggle would love to see it....

Or would we be stomping all over some kind of copyright law? Weird how your version stopped working. I shall dig mine out (it's on an external hard drive somewhere) and see if it works!

Thank you so much for this Lemur. Finally the one I've always wanted to see, the Sentence. Watched it this evening (with my husband). It was amazing. It's the first time I've seen David in a dramatic role and he was wonderful! Don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet, but I found it very powerful and moving. As you say, the bit in the box was just so raw and painful. I wanted to go and save him. He must do more drama. Imagine watching him in something raw and emotional live on stage. Had to go and watch Halloween afterwards to cheer myself up. My husband, the Sci-fi geek loved it too. I could go into a deeper discussion but not sober enough just now. ;D

You're very welcome muffin! You're right, he absolutely has to do some difficult, knotty, emotional play. Curtains is terrific fun, and he clearly loves doing it, but with stuff like this you get these tantalising glimpses of how freaking powerful he can be in dramatic roles. He's so much more versatile than people think. I like that Halloween is your cheery-up movie.

Um yeah, I did actually mean the Frasier ep Halloween, but I like the idea that it might have been that movie. ;D Yes, he's wonderful in comedy and Curtains must be such a feel good show to do. He obviously loves making people happy. It must be very draining for an actor to have to put on an emotional peformance every night, but we can see from this Outer Limits episode and from his many wonderful poignant moments in Frasier just how great he is at the emotional stuff. Hope he gets the chance at some point to show his range to audiences and prove, as you say, how 'freaking powerful' he can be. Oh and I did order 2 movies from the shop here. WHAS has just arrived and I'm going to watch it tonight! I'll make popcorn. Expecting the second movie, Full Frontal, soon.
