Goodness! N/D has made an AOL 'worst TV couples' list! Here's what they had to say. We'd grown so used to Niles (David Hyde Pierce) in a relationship with a woman we never saw (the elusive Maris), it was a little hard to wrap our heads around the fact that he finally was dating a live one, namely Daphne (Jane Leeves), whom he'd secretly pined after for years. Or maybe it was that when one character obsesses so intensely about another, the relationship can't help but feel one-sided when it's finally consummated. Since we know writers save this kind of thing for near the end stretch, we're more than a little jaded about these late-blooming romances. Any thoughts? Interesting article all in all. I totally agree with them about Rachel and Joey. That was just embarrassing. And George/Izzie was handled horribly.

I have seen several chapters of Ugly Betty but she has to end up with Henry, he's so adorable (I don't know if he's still on the show) I totally agree with you Lemur about how bad was handled George-Izzie relationship. Very disappointing. About Niles and Daphne, although I was the happiest woman on earth when they got together, we lost one of the Frasier assets, Niles trying unsuccesfully to get Daphne's love. Many of the best Niles parts are based on that. I didn't like very much the development of Daphne's character. I adored her in love with Niles but, whereas he turned into a more earthy man and less snob, she become quite bossy and dominating. BTW - In Friends, Phoebe and Mike, that's another awful couple. She had to have ended with David (Hank Azaria) XD

I agree with some couples chosen here. I have seen several chapters of Ugly Betty but she has to end up with Henry, he's so adorable (I don't know if he's still on the show) Yes, Henry! I've liked Christopher Gorham ever since Popular (remember that?). They need to bring him back! Yeah, they acted like jerks, and for what? A non-relationship. Made me sad as I kinda had high hopes - they just looked so pretty together ... That's interesting. You know, in How I Met Your Mother (SPOILERS!) they had Barney be in love with Robin for an entire season, which was amazing to watch. They got together quite charmingly, but then broke up after only seven episodes. The writers claimed that even though viewers think they want the couple together, they really don't, because it diminishes both characters. I think that was a factor in Frasier as well. I really wanted N/D to get together, but because I was rooting for Niles, rather than for them as a couple. Same with Barney - you want him to get the girl, but then do you actually want to watch the relationship? I think DHP's role in the series was diminished, both in terms of screentime and the breadth of stuff he got to play, post get-together. I wonder how he felt about it? Again, I agree! Love Paul Rudd, but Daaaavid ... he was just gorge. And bonkers. Perfect for Pheebs!

Love Paul Rudd, but Daaaavid ... he was just gorge. And bonkers. Perfect for Pheebs! Totally agree with that. N/D relationship in Frasier had to happen. It was the logical development of the show. But also, because Niles deserved that happiness. I'd love to have seen how Daphne's love for Niles starts to grow before they get together (Maybe for a whole season). Maybe if Niles's character hadn't been so appealing to the audience, we wouldn't have minded if they hadn't ended up together. Agree with that too. It's wonderful to see, how in Frasier, Niles's character and personality develops. In the first seasons, personally I didn't like him. Of course, he was the best character, but I didn't empathize with him. Step by step, you start to actually feel in love with him. He changes everything, from character to the clothes he wore. In the end you can see that the Niles in season 1 and season 11 are 2 totally different people. DHP roles in other works are quite diminished. He has lot to give as an actor, but as you said, he hasn't got time or material to be able to do that.

Wow, lots of interesting points here. I'm going to admit that the thing that got me hooked on Frasier was in fact Niles and Daphne. I started out by watching on Lifetime and they were terrible about showing the episodes out of order. So I ended up seeing SBSB before I saw the beginning of their relationship. That being said, I found them completely adorable (even though I really had no idea what was going on!), and as much as I love DHP and Niles, I don't think I would love the show as much had they not gotten together. I'm currently in S10 and I do admit that I miss Niles' unrequited love for Daphne a little bit but I do love them being married as well. I wish they would have played the "Daphne knows Niles is in love with her but he doesn't know she knows" game a little more. I thought that was brilliant that they turned the tables, so that once she found out that he was in love with her but now he's with someone else, then she's the one wishing they could be together. I'm a hopeless romantic, so I was all for Niles and Daphne getting together. It is an interesting question of whether or not David wanted Niles and Daphne to get together on the show. I honestly think that if he'd flat out disapproved that he wouldn't have stayed with the series for the entire run.
I'm just speculating here of course, but it just seems to me that the way he seemed to put so much heart and soul into making Niles' love for Daphne so believable (he moved me to tears more than once!) that he didn't object to it that much. I thought he was absolutely wonderful as a romantic "lead".

Florida Georgia Line is my favourite contry band. Headliners Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are those people that could make anyone sing along with them. It's the reason I like to attend their concerts. And - that's surprisingly beatiful - in 2019 they have CAN'T SAY IT AIN'T COUNTRY TOUR which covers all the USA towns and cities. For tickets info visit Florida Georgia Line Concert Tour.

Breaking Benjamin is my favourite rock-band of 2000s. They had so many hit songs! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and their hit 'So Cold'. These are real masterpieces, not fake like today! And it is awesome that Breaking Benjamin have a tour in 2019-2020! So I'm going to attend their concert in 2020. The full list is here: Breaking Benjamin tour 2019. Check it out and maybe we can even visit one of the concerts together!
