Great pics and report, Louise! Joanna Lumley looks fab in that photo I have to say. And nice to hear that David was looking dapper for a change. Wonder what's his pint of choice?

Joanna Lumley was stunning. Incredible for her age. Absolutely fabulous. I'm guessing the La Bete crowd were going off for dinner, hence the dapperness of David.

Ooooh,I'm loving those pics! It's so cool that he recognises you by now!!And I kinda really, really love that smart jacket!!The play is seriously very good,it surprised me on so many levels and actually surpassed my expectation! And yeah,David should definitely do Shakespeare!! I agree with you about the play Rose. I'm still thinking about it. It surpassed my expectations too, especially having read the reviews. The audience loved it so there was a great atmosphere. And to see actors of the calibre of Mark Rylance and David on stage together was a privilege.

What an incredible weekend you had! Thanks for directing us to your blog and giving a flavour of Sunday's talk to those of us who would have loved to be there. Love Brian's comment re spending the evening listening to David talk. I saw ' La Cage' in September from the front row (not the cafe tables). It's such a feelgood show and KG has a lovely singing voice. 'The Best of Times is Now' certainly describes your weekend.

Glad you guys enjoyed it, and glad that you don't mind me linking to another page from here. It seemed easier to do that than to repost the whole thing here. It was a great weekend, a part of me is still not back in the real world.

I won't be seeing La Bete because I don't have the money for it and neither does my mom. It's so upsetting that I can't go.
