Oh, oh, oh David and Cole Porter! You don't get any better than Cole Porter - what I wouldn't give to see this?! Sounds like heaven to me. Sadly I can't be there! Is anyone going to make me very jealous and tell me they are going to this?

This event was last night. Nice report here. Some highlights: David Hyde Pierce shaking martinis; Victoria Clark mimicking a trumpet solo in "What Is This Thing Called Love?"; Pierce taking out a voodoo doll during "You Do Something to Me"; reading every single lyric ever written for "Let's Do It"; reading a fan letter to Porter from Irving Berlin; learning that Porter, Pierce and Clark are all Yale alumni. Hopefully there'll be some pics from this floating around ... everyone, keep your eyes peeled!

I'm a huge Cole Porter fan to start with and with David there, well it would have been off the scale. I need to know every single lyric to 'Let's do it'. 'What is this thing called Love?'. I have a long standing joke I do about it. My family are all rolling their eyes and sighing. It goes - ' What is this thing called love?', 'what is this thing called, love?', 'what is this thing called love?', 'what is this thing called, love?', 'what is this thing called, love?', 'what is this thing called, love?' Just ignore me!
