Well the video is loading so I can't say I've seen it get my broadband doesn't work. However just knowing that he is campaiging for a right and just cause just makes me so happy, excited that maybe once America can make a change to a minority group who has over the years has been shone and shamed (wrongy of course) and even if the bill doesn't faver the wrothy cause there is always going to a bunch of us D.H.P's out there fighting not only for homosexuals to have rights but also to adpot children and for other minorty groups to be accepted in "the American drean". Just seeing David Hyde Pirce out of the closet/cubbord campaiging when he was silent all them years shows how change is happening. When Obama was elected it was on the promise of change well now its time to see the goverment will keep it's promise's and discoures that America will see a change and if the American goverment does then there is a chance for America to be what it really stands for a country to care and love's its people without judgement. ;D

That's a really good video. I saw it a while ago but didn't think to post it here.

Ugh. Maine voted yesterday to repeal its law allowing same-sex marriage. It was close, but still ... UGH. New York Times pieceIMO, this isn't something that should ever be put on a ballot. I'm sure the majority of the good people of Maine have no problem with gay people, but the thing is, if people have even a whisper of doubt in their minds, they vote to keep things 'traditional.'

I know. Saw this news today and I'm quite depressed by it. I agree with what you say, Lemur, about people's reasons for deciding to keep things 'traditional'. The slightest bit of doubt and many reasonable people feel obliged to play safe. This just feels so unfair. These things shouldn't be put to a referendum. The majority shouldn't be asked to vote on the rights of the minority. This state by state, back and forth process is so unsatisfactory. I think they should try to change federal law.

'Ugh' is a bit of an understatement compared to the words I have on the tip of my tongue right now. I just hope that someday we can all except each other for who we are.....
